Rhinoplasty
The nose is often the first thing we notice in the face of the person we are talking to, or when we look at our own reflection. Its size and shape are determined by heredity, yet no one is safe from injury, and the beauty standards of society set their own terms as well. Reshaping the nose is one of the most demanding operations in plastic surgery.
Please remember that sunbathing is not allowed before rhinoplasty, and that the operation is not recommended for people under the age of 18. After surgery you will be able to enjoy your new, harmonious appearance — one that builds confidence and self-assurance.
Cartilage rhinoplasty
If the tip of the nose is too wide or too narrow, upturned or deviated, or has any other visible imperfection, the operation is performed under general anaesthesia, with most incisions made inside the nose so that no scars remain visible. Surgery takes approximately 1–2 hours. One night is spent at the clinic afterwards, and for 1 week a plaster dressing or tapes are worn to hold the nose in the correct position.
After leaving the clinic you may use your usual facial cosmetics, but direct sun exposure must be avoided for a few months.
The result lasts a lifetime.
Bone rhinoplasty
If the patient is unhappy with the shape of the nose — disproportionately large or wide, humped or crooked — or if the consequences of an injury need correcting, the operation is performed under general anaesthesia. Afterwards one night is spent at the clinic, and a fixing plaster dressing is worn around the clock during the first week and only at night during the second week.
The result lasts a lifetime.
