Otoplasty – ear correction surgery

Ear surgery

The size, shape and position of the ears that nature has given you, but which for certain reasons you are not happy with, can be improved. Instead of losing faith in your own attractiveness, hiding your ears under hats and scarves and putting up with hurtful remarks about protruding ears, it is worth considering ear surgery. Ear surgery is one of the plastic operations often performed in childhood. It is best done when the child realises that their ears differ from other children’s and wants them corrected.

The operation takes 1–1.5 hours: for children under general anaesthesia, for adults under local anaesthesia. You can go home on the day of the operation.

For one week after the operation a special elastic dressing is worn around the head and ears. The best result is visible after a month.

The effect lasts a lifetime.
